By the end of 4th grade, low-income students are already two years behind grade level.  By the time they reach the 12th grade, the same kids are four years behind. Through the Harvesting Hope Farm Program we are investing Hope into others to end the generational cycle of poverty.

Investing in others through the Harvesting Hope Farm Program

Our first priority is to meet basic human needs, but we recognize the importance of programs that go beyond the basics of food, shelter, clothing and safety. In addition to meeting basic needs, The Salvation Army-Centralia strives to provide programs that will invest in others the skills and goals to see them strive and end the generational cycle of poverty.

The Salvation Army in Centralia is Harvesting Hope

Through the Harvesting Hope Farm Program, partnering agencies as well as individuals are invited to invest back into their community.  Our goals are simple, provide a work experience that will help individuals grow into exceptional employees and meet the needs of the community.

We provide job training through structured time management, goal setting and a forklift certification program.

We serve the needs of the community by providing quality, fresh ingredients at no cost to those who are in the most need.

"There's hope that you can change, there's hope that things will get better.  There's room for everyone at God's table and we want you to be part of that." - Lt. Gin Pack
